LAHORE: Construction and rehabilitation of major roads in Punjab are progressing rapidly, with several key projects recently completed, according to Provincial Minister for Communications Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth.
In a briefing chaired by the minister, officers from the Highways Department detailed ongoing and completed projects. The 25-kilometer road from Hafizabad to Khanqan Dogran has been completed and connected to the M-2 Motorway, facilitating travel for approximately 4,500 vehicles daily.
Similarly, the 8.25-kilometer road from Kotli Najat to Liaqat Chowk and the Chauraha Moga Road in Multan Shujaabad have been completed at a total cost of PKR 130 million, providing safe and convenient travel for local residents and commuters.
Minister Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth stated that all development projects are being completed on time under the guidance of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. He emphasized that these initiatives are enhancing travel facilities, improving safety, and contributing to greater convenience in daily life for the public.
