LAHORE: On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem, the weekly general parade was conducted across the province, including in Lahore. Senior police officers inspected the parade while participating contingents presented salutes.
Officers and personnel from Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Anti-Riot Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, SPU, Ladies Police, Investigation Wing, and Operations Wing participated with full dedication.
A Punjab Police spokesperson said that during the parade, senior officers checked the turnout of personnel. The contingents, smartly turned out, performed an impressive march past, with female personnel also taking part. The spokesperson added that general parades are held every Monday across the province. District officers also inspected the quarter guard, Motor Transport Wing, miscellaneous stores, uniform warehouse, and other branches.
IG Punjab Abdul Kareem emphasized that the purpose of the general parade is to keep personnel alert, promote discipline, unity, and foster brotherhood. He stated that the parade reflects the discipline, history, heritage, and tradition of the force, while maintaining fitness and enhancing the overall performance of the Punjab Police.
