Islamabad (Special Report) — Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has revealed that Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi made efforts for Imran Khan’s release and “even spoke before the Field Marshal.”
In a conversation with media, Gandapur stated, “Mohsin Naqvi is the only person who can speak in front of the Field Marshal.”
Commenting on internal divisions within PTI, the former chief minister said, “There are ill-intentioned people among us. No one in PTI has decision-making power.”
He added, “Everyone in PTI is blaming each other.”
Gandapur’s reference to “Field Marshal” has sparked speculation in political circles about which personality he was referring to, as Pakistan currently has no active Field Marshal.
These statements come at a time when reports of disagreements and mutual accusations within PTI leadership are emerging publicly.
The KP CM’s remarks suggest ongoing behind-the-scenes efforts for Imran Khan’s release, with Interior Minister Naqvi apparently playing a mediating role at the highest levels.
It is worth noting that Imran Khan remains imprisoned in Adiala Jail in connection with multiple cases, and the party continues to pursue various political and legal measures for his release.
The cryptic reference to “Field Marshal” and acknowledgment of internal party conflicts indicate growing tensions within PTI’s leadership structure.
