Islamabad, February 15: Westminster International School has successfully concluded its five-day interschool mega festival, Phoenix Fest & Mavericks 2026, bringing together more than 40 schools and over 2,500 students from across the twin cities.
The festival was inaugurated by Pakistan’s leading tennis player Sara Mansoor, who attended as Guest of Honour and officially declared the event open. A national champion, she has represented Pakistan in international competitions, including the Fed Cup, and remains a strong advocate for women’s participation in sports.

The five-day event featured a dynamic mix of traditional and newly introduced competitions, including the addition of paddle for the first time. Alongside cricket, basketball, volleyball, and table tennis, students competed in futsal, arm wrestling, chess, calisthenics, foosball, tug of war, and e-gaming.
Divided into Phoenix and Mavericks categories, the festival also showcased artistic and intellectual talent through art contests, story writing, poetry recitation, singing competitions, and chess championships, reinforcing the school’s commitment to holistic education and youth empowerment.
