Islamabad,
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday extended heartfelt greetings to Muslims in Pakistan and across the world on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan 1447, calling it a sacred opportunity for spiritual renewal, self-discipline, and collective compassion.
In an official message issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing, PM Shehbaz described Ramadan as far more than a religious obligation, emphasising that its true spirit lies in moral reform, empathy for others, and the fulfilment of social responsibilities.
“Fasting is a practical training in patience, discipline, and a sense of duty that must reflect in our daily lives,” the Prime Minister said.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to the welfare of marginalised communities, PM Shehbaz announced the launch of a Ramadan Relief Package, under which financial assistance will be transferred digitally through e-wallets to deserving households, ensuring that every family is able to observe the blessed traditions of Sehri and Iftar with dignity.
The Prime Minister concluded his message with a prayer for the acceptance of the nation’s worship and good deeds, and for Pakistan to prosper as a symbol of peace, stability, and progress.
