Islamabad — Independent Senator Faisal Vawda launched a pointed counter-attack against Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Rana Sanaullah, warning him to stop firing political arrows into thin air and declaring that old political maneuvers have lost their effectiveness.
Speaking to media, Vawda stated that had Imran Khan accepted the alleged deal, he would have inevitably come after other politicians, and the very people celebrating today would not have been spared either. He argued that Imran Khan’s refusal to compromise reflected his commitment to his political principles rather than personal stubbornness.
Taking a sharp dig at Rana Sanaullah, Vawda said that seasoned politicians should avoid making statements that are disconnected from ground realities. He emphasized that the public is now far more politically aware and that outdated tactics no longer resonate with ordinary citizens.
The independent senator further called for responsible political discourse across the board, urging all stakeholders to focus on real national issues rather than indulging in blame games and point-scoring that ultimately serves no constructive purpose.
