New York: On the sidelines of the High-Level United Nations Security Council (UNSC) briefing on Palestine in New York, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a meeting with Indonesia’s Foreign Minister Sugiono.
The two leaders reviewed bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction over the depth and strength of the longstanding brotherly ties between Pakistan and Indonesia. They reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing cooperation across various sectors of mutual interest.
Discussions also covered regional and international developments, particularly the situation in Gaza and the West Bank. Both sides agreed to work closely for achieving a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace in Palestine, in accordance with international law and relevant UN resolutions.
Recalling the successful visit of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to Pakistan in December 2025, the Deputy Prime Minister underscored its special significance. He noted that the visit provided fresh impetus to bilateral cooperation and reflected the steady progress achieved in relations between the two countries over the decades.
