Islamabad: Pakistan and Egypt have agreed to deepen collaboration in curriculum reform, digital education, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), and student exchanges to strengthen bilateral educational ties.
Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training Wajiha Qamar held a meeting with Egypt’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr Ihab Abdel Hamid, to advance educational cooperation between the Pakistan and the Egypt.
The two sides discussed a wide range of initiatives, including curriculum rationalization and insights from the Egyptian Baccalaureate model. They also reviewed progress on digital transformation in education under Egypt’s “Great Book” initiative, as well as coordination in medical education and classroom management reforms.
Both countries expressed interest in expanding collaboration in TVET, promoting Arabic language teaching in Pakistan, and enhancing exchange programmes for students, teachers, and education professionals to foster stronger academic and cultural linkages.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of Pakistan and Egypt to modernizing education systems and promoting knowledge exchange for sustainable development.
