ISLAMABAD —
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday issued a strong statement reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to national security, warning that any act of aggression against the country would be met with a resolute and forceful response.
“Pakistan’s people and armed forces are ready at all times to protect the country’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity,” PM Shehbaz said in a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing. “There will be no compromise on the defence of our beloved homeland.”
The Prime Minister praised the Pakistan Armed Forces under the command of Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, saying the military is performing its duties with exceptional national spirit. “The armed forces are equipped with professional capabilities, advanced training and effective defence strategy to counter any internal or external challenge,” he said.
PM Shehbaz emphasized that while Pakistan has always been a proponent of peace and regional stability, it would never allow any threat to its national integrity to go unanswered. “Our armed forces have the full capability to foil any aggressive designs, and every act of aggression will be met with a decisive response,” he said.
Reiterating national unity, the Prime Minister declared that the entire nation stands firmly behind the Pakistan Armed Forces. The statement comes amid a broader regional security context and signals Islamabad’s firm resolve to safeguard its borders and sovereignty.
