High-Level Meeting Held on PEDO Transmission Line Issues in Kalam, Swat

SWAT: A high-level meeting was convened in Kalam under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Swat, Saleem Jan Marwat, to deliberate on the challenges being faced in the installation of transmission lines under the ongoing project of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO).
The meeting was attended in person by the PEDO Project Director, Project Manager, and other relevant officials, while the Assistant Commissioner Bahrain, Deputy Director of Agriculture, representatives from the Forest Department, and other officers and institutional representatives participated via video link.
Detailed discussions were held during the session on ensuring timely project completion, resolving technical and administrative challenges, and improving coordination among all concerned departments. The PEDO Project Director presented a comprehensive briefing on the current status of the project and outlined the support required for its smooth execution.
Deputy Commissioner Swat directed that the installation of transmission lines in Kalam be completed on a priority basis and that all obstacles hindering progress be removed without delay. He made it clear that any delay in public-interest projects would not be acceptable under any circumstances. He instructed all relevant departments to ensure that the project goals are met within the specified timeline through effective cooperation and inter-departmental coordination.
