LAHORE: Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Faheem ur Rehman Saigol has expressed complete solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces following the recent escalation at the Pak-Afghan border and the launch of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq.
In a joint statement, LCCI President Faheem ur Rehman Saigol, Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh, and Vice President Khurram Lodhi declared that the entire business community stands shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army in defending the sovereignty, integrity, and territorial boundaries of the country.
President Saigol said that Pakistan has always pursued peace and stability in the region, but any act of aggression against the homeland cannot and will not be tolerated. He paid rich tribute to the brave sons of the soil who embraced martyrdom and commended the professionalism, courage, and timely response of the armed forces. He emphasized that a secure and stable Pakistan is essential for economic confidence, trade continuity, and long-term investment. “National defence and economic strength go hand in hand. The business community fully supports every step taken to safeguard our borders and protect national interests,” he stated.
Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh said that at this critical juncture, the entire nation is united, with political leadership, the armed forces, and the business community all on the same page when it comes to national security. He reaffirmed that LCCI members will continue playing their role in strengthening the economy while standing firmly behind the armed forces.
Vice President Khurram Lodhi said that while Pakistan desires peaceful relations with all neighbouring countries, there can be no compromise on sovereignty. He urged the international community to play its role in ensuring de-escalation and lasting peace in the region while respecting Pakistan’s right to self-defence.
The LCCI office-bearers reiterated that the traders and industrialists of Lahore stand firmly with the Pakistan Army and will continue to support all efforts aimed at ensuring the country’s security, stability, and prosperity.
