Peshawar: The Pakistan Army has killed a senior Afghan Taliban commander in a successful operation near Torkham under Operation Ghazwa-ul-Haq. According to the ISPR, the operation carried out in the Chaman Sector resulted in the death of one militant, while three others were captured alive in a wounded condition.
Military sources stated that the slain commander was directly involved in cross-border terrorist activities and played a key role in the militant network operating in the region. Interrogation of the three wounded and arrested militants is currently underway.
Operation Ghazwa-ul-Haq is an ongoing Pakistan Army offensive aimed at eliminating terrorist elements operating near the Afghan border and restoring peace and stability in the region. Military officials have stated that the operation will continue until the area is completely cleared of militant presence.
