ISLAMABAD, March 5, 2026 — Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received a high-level delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) at the Prime Minister House on Wednesday. The delegation was led by JI Amir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman and included senior party leaders Liaquat Baloch, Mian Muhammad Aslam, and Asif Luqman Qazi.
During the meeting, JI Amir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman was given a detailed in-camera briefing on the prevailing regional situation, covering developments in Afghanistan, Iran, the Middle East, and the Gulf. The delegation was taken into full confidence regarding Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts and initiatives in the region.
The JI delegation was also apprised of the measures being undertaken by Pakistani embassies in Iran and Gulf countries to facilitate Pakistani nationals and ensure their safety and welfare in the wake of the evolving regional situation.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Federal Ministers Azam Nazeer Tarar, Ahsan Iqbal, Attaullah Tarar, and Rana Mubashir Iqbal, PM’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah, and Minister of State Talal Chaudhry.
