Islamabad, March 10, 2026 – As the ongoing conflict involving Iran enters its 11th day, air travel disruptions continue to escalate, with 85 flights from Pakistan to the Middle East canceled today and an additional 56 potentially facing cancellation.
From Karachi, 26 flights bound for Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi have been grounded, with 10 more at risk of being scrapped. Similarly, Lahore saw 18 flights to Middle Eastern destinations canceled, though 10 are still expected to operate. In Islamabad, 20 flights were canceled, but 11 departures remain possible amid the uncertainty.
Since the outbreak of the Iran war, the total number of canceled flights from Pakistan to the Middle East has surged to 1,600, severely impacting travelers, businesses, and regional connectivity.
Aviation authorities attribute the disruptions to heightened security concerns and airspace restrictions in the conflict zone. Airlines are advising passengers to check for updates and offering rebooking options where possible. The situation remains fluid as international efforts to de-escalate the tensions continue.
