LAHORE: Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Ehsan Bhutta has said that the life and character of Ali ibn Abi Talib (RA) remain a shining example of knowledge, justice, courage and piety for the Muslim Ummah.
He said the blessed life of Hazrat Ali (RA) teaches the principles of truth, fairness and service to humanity, adding that his teachings continue to offer valuable guidance for the reform and betterment of society.
Dr Bhutta expressed these views while addressing officers at a gathering held in the conference room of the Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department Punjab in connection with the observance of the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Ali (RA).
Senior officials of the department, including Shahid Hassan Kalyani, Director General Religious Affairs Auqaf Punjab, and Nabeela Javaid, Additional Secretary Auqaf, were also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Dr Bhutta said Hazrat Ali (RA) set remarkable examples of justice, wisdom, courage and steadfastness throughout his life. He noted that his principles of governance, commitment to knowledge and unwavering dedication to truth continue to serve as guiding values for society.
He added that the teachings of Hazrat Ali (RA) emphasize tolerance, harmony and brotherhood in society while encouraging people to always stand for justice and truth.
Dr Bhutta further said that the Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department Punjab is actively working to promote religious and intellectual traditions and to disseminate the teachings of great Islamic personalities. In this regard, the department organizes seminars, conferences and scholarly sessions to familiarize the younger generation with the rich heritage of Islamic history and to promote a positive and moderate outlook in society.
The meeting concluded with special prayers for the elevation of the ranks of Hazrat Ali (RA) and for peace, prosperity and stability in Pakistan.
