ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – March 15, 2026
In a swift and timely operation, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Wing foiled an attempt at illegal immigration through forged documents at Islamabad International Airport.
During routine immigration clearance for PIA flight PK-781 bound for Canada, two foreign passengers — identified as Chunga Chaye (female) and Chonja Sun (male) — were referred for detailed document verification. Upon scrutiny and coordination with Canadian liaison officials, their Korean passports were declared suspect and fake.
The FIA officials immediately offloaded both passengers from the flight and arrested them. They have been handed over to the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Cell in Islamabad for further investigation and legal proceedings.
“Prompt action by our immigration team prevented two individuals from travelling on forged documents,” an FIA spokesperson said. “Such operations are part of our zero-tolerance policy against human smuggling and document forgery at all entry and exit points.”
No other passengers on the flight were affected, and the aircraft departed on schedule.
