Tehran / Dubai — Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Sunday that it has launched a fresh wave of retaliatory strikes using hypersonic missiles and explosive drones against U.S. and Israeli-linked targets across the region.
The operation reportedly involved around 10 Fattah and Qadr missiles aimed specifically at the U.S. Al-Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates, along with a number of suicide drones. The IRGC described the strikes as targeting command centres and bases that support American and Israeli military operations.
The Fattah hypersonic missile, unveiled by Iran in 2023, is claimed to reach speeds above Mach 13 while manoeuvring in flight — capabilities Tehran says make it extremely difficult to intercept.
This latest assault is part of Iran’s ongoing “Operation True Promise-4” retaliation amid the escalating conflict with the United States and Israel.
No immediate confirmation of damage or casualties has been issued by U.S. or UAE authorities, and independent verification of the strikes’ impact remains pending.
