Islamabad, March 18, 2026 — SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, accompanied by SSP Security Suleman Zafar and SP City Zone Dr. Ayaz Hussain, conducted an important visit to Faisal Mosque, Pakistan’s largest and most prominent religious site.
The purpose of the visit was to personally review and strengthen security arrangements ahead of Eid ul-Fitr prayers and expected large gatherings of worshippers. The senior officers met with police personnel on duty and instructed them to remain fully alert in view of the current regional and national security environment.
During the inspection, the team examined all entry/exit points, parking areas, CCTV coverage, and other security installations. Key directives issued included:
Maximize utilization of all available resources to make security arrangements more effective at sensitive locations.
Perform duties with full responsibility and professional competence.
Ensure foolproof protection of citizens’ lives and property.
The visit comes as Eid ul-Fitr holidays have begun across the country, with significant crowds anticipated at Faisal Mosque for Eid prayers and related events. Islamabad Capital Police has already deployed additional personnel, set up enhanced checkpoints, and intensified identification and screening protocols for the occasion.
Authorities emphasized that no negligence will be tolerated at high-profile sites like Faisal Mosque, and public safety remains the top priority during the festive period
