Trump stated that Shehbaz Sharif had acknowledged that millions of lives could have been lost if Trump had not intervened to stop the war.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has played an active diplomatic role in facilitating peace during tensions in the Middle East, engaging in extensive telephonic diplomacy with regional and global leaders.
According to a report by a US newspaper, Pakistani leadership maintains close relations with both Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, positioning Pakistan as a key diplomatic bridge.
Pakistani officials reportedly contacted leaders in Tehran, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Istanbul, and Brussels to promote de-escalation and regional peace.
