Tehran, March 27, 2026: Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has strongly reacted to reports of a potential US ground operation, claiming that the United States is hiding its troops in hotels and parks.
In a statement posted on X, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that a country unable to secure its forces even within its own bases cannot ensure their safety on Iranian soil.
His remarks came amid reports that the United States is considering various options for a possible ground operation against Iran.
Meanwhile, US officials have not completely ruled out the possibility of troop deployment in Iran but have not confirmed any concrete plans for territorial control.
Separately, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has warned civilians in the region to stay away from US military bases, alleging that American and Israeli forces may attempt to use civilian areas as human shields.
The statement urged civilians to immediately evacuate areas where US forces are present to avoid potential harm.
