Lahore: A key review meeting of the attached departments of the Housing Department Punjab was held under the chairmanship of Secretary Housing Punjab, Noor Ul Amin Mengal, where various matters were discussed in detail and important directions were issued.
During the meeting, Additional Secretary (Admin) Madiha Tahir Shah and Deputy Secretary Mirza Waleed Baig briefed participants on relevant issues. The Secretary Housing reviewed multiple aspects of proposed laws, rules, and regulations, and directed their timely finalization.
Various summaries related to horticulture, WASA, water supply, and other key sectors were thoroughly examined. The meeting also deliberated on the expansion of horticulture agencies to additional districts.
The Secretary Housing directed horticulture authorities to take effective measures to eliminate visual pollution, while also instructing concerned officers to ensure strict implementation of safety SOPs at construction sites.
He further emphasized the need for early completion of ongoing development schemes, directing that all projects be executed in line with the vision of the Chief Minister Punjab.
Furthermore, the Secretary stressed the importance of incorporating environmentally friendly policies into proposed projects to achieve sustainable development goals.
