Islamabad — April 1, 2025
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a significant increase in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices, effective from April 1, 2025.
According to the official notification, LPG prices have been raised by Rs78.28 per kilogram, bringing the new retail price to Rs304.12 per kg.
As a direct result of this hike, the price of an 11.8-kilogram domestic cylinder has surged by Rs923.71, with the new price now standing at Rs3,588.59 per cylinder.
The increase is expected to place additional financial strain on millions of households across Pakistan that rely on LPG for daily cooking needs, particularly in areas where natural gas supply remains unavailable or inconsistent.
OGRA has not yet issued an official statement elaborating on the factors behind the latest revision, though global commodity prices and exchange rate fluctuations are commonly cited reasons for such adjustments.
