Islamabad: Shehbaz Sharif chaired a high-level review meeting on initiatives aimed at increasing employment opportunities for youth, where detailed briefings were presented on ongoing programs and future strategies.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the performance of the Prime Minister Youth Programme under the leadership of Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, emphasizing that youth are the future of the nation.
He directed authorities to accelerate efforts in providing modern technical and vocational training aligned with global market demands. He noted that reforms in the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission have significantly improved the quality of training.
Officials informed the meeting that the government is prioritizing internationally recognized certifications and skills development for youth, while the PM Youth Hub has emerged as a central platform for both national and international job opportunities.
The meeting was told that employment opportunities exist abroad in sectors such as IT, healthcare, construction, tourism, and logistics. Meanwhile, the Higher Education Commission Pakistan is digitally tracking graduates from 282 universities to monitor employment trends and support policymaking.
Additionally, “Matric-Tech” programs have been introduced in 32 institutions under the Ministry of Education, with plans to launch “Inter-Tech” programs in the near future.
