Lahore, Pakistan (Farzana choudhray) — In yet another relief package aimed at easing the economic burden on the common man, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced the complete waiver of motorcycle registration and transfer fees across the province.
Under the new initiative, every registered motorbike owner in Punjab will also receive a monthly subsidy on 20 liters of petrol at a discounted rate of Rs. 100 per liter — providing approximately Rs. 2,000 in monthly relief per bike.
Speaking on the announcement, CM Maryam Nawaz stated that her government is working day and night to reduce the financial difficulties faced by ordinary citizens and that such relief measures will continue.
The decision comes amid rising fuel prices and is expected to benefit millions of motorbike users who rely on two-wheelers for daily commuting. The subsidy scheme will take effect from April 4, 2026. Eligible owners will need to register through the relevant authorities to avail the benefit.
This latest package adds to the Punjab government’s ongoing efforts to support the masses through targeted subsidies and fee exemptions.
