Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has made an emotional pledge to sacrifice his life for Iran as the country’s conflict with Israel deepens, triggering a mounting humanitarian crisis.
In a post on social media platform X, President Pezeshkian revealed that more than 14 million Iranian citizens have registered their willingness to defend the nation. “I have also devoted my life to Iran,” he declared, signaling firm resolve amid escalating hostilities.
According to Iranian officials, the ongoing conflict has claimed the lives of at least 2,076 people, with more than 26,500 others wounded since fighting began. Israel has reportedly targeted several senior Iranian military and political figures during the course of the conflict.
The casualty figures point to a deepening humanitarian emergency, with international aid organizations calling for an immediate ceasefire.
Defense analysts warn that tensions between Tehran and Tel Aviv have reached a critical threshold, with the risk of a wider regional war growing by the day. The international community has yet to produce a unified diplomatic response to halt the escalation.
