LAHORE: Advisor to the Chief Minister Punjab for Artificial Intelligence and Special Initiatives Ali Dar visited the Punjab Central Business District Development Authority, where he reviewed progress on key development projects aimed at boosting economic growth and modern urban infrastructure.
He was received by CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin and COO Brigadier Mansoor Janjua. During the visit, Ali Dar chaired a high-level meeting at CBD Quaid District, where officials presented detailed briefings on major initiatives including CBD Quaid District, Bab-e-Pakistan, and Nawaz Sharif IT City.
Addressing the meeting, Ali Dar said that under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, large-scale infrastructure and development projects are being rapidly expanded across the province. He emphasized that these initiatives aim to usher Punjab into a new era of economic, technological, and urban transformation, while enhancing its global profile.
The advisor later visited CBD Quaid District, CBD Bab-e-Pakistan, and Nawaz Sharif IT City to inspect ongoing development work.
He described the CBD Punjab initiative as a “game changer,” noting that it represents Pakistan’s first modern business district of its kind and holds the potential to transform the country’s economic landscape.
Ali Dar highlighted that the integration of smart infrastructure, modern urban planning, and advanced technology is essential for sustainable growth. He said these projects are expected to attract foreign investment, strengthen business activities, and create employment opportunities, particularly for the youth.
He further stated that the establishment of Nawaz Sharif IT City will help position Pakistan in the global digital economy, while projects like Bab-e-Pakistan and CBD Punjab offer a modern and sustainable model of urban development.
The advisor also underscored the role of public-private partnerships in achieving development goals, adding that initiatives in green energy, smart solutions, and modern transport systems are ensuring environmentally sustainable progress.
Concluding his remarks, Ali Dar reaffirmed that these projects, equipped with world-class facilities, will not only enhance Pakistan’s global image but also lay the foundation for a secure, sustainable, and prosperous future.
