ISLAMABAD — Pakistani entertainment figures have expressed jubilation following the announcement of a ceasefire between Iran and the United States, with several prominent artists crediting Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for helping broker peace in the region.
Actor and singer Farhan Saeed took to social media with a now-viral phrase: “Not Shahbaz Sharif — Shabaash Sharif,” praising the Prime Minister’s role in de-escalating one of the most dangerous geopolitical standoffs in recent memory.
Fellow artist Tauseef Haider echoed the sentiment, stating that Pakistan played a “key and pivotal role” in reducing tensions and restoring calm between Tehran and Washington. He added that the world must now acknowledge Pakistan as a responsible and peace-loving state.
