Iran has confirmed its participation in the upcoming Islamabad negotiations, stating it will engage with full authority and a strong mandate — while simultaneously expressing reservations about what it called America’s “deceptive nature.”
Iranian Vice President praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, crediting Islamabad with playing a pivotal role in facilitating a temporary ceasefire that created the conditions for dialogue.
In an official statement, Tehran made clear it would come to the negotiating table, but warned that Washington’s history of broken commitments remains a serious concern. Iran said it enters the talks with open eyes, not blind trust.
Pakistan’s role as a mediator has drawn international recognition, with the Islamabad talks seen as a potential turning point in the ongoing regional standoff.
