Saudi Arabia is set to begin receiving Hajj pilgrims from April 18, 2026, as the kingdom gears up for one of the world’s largest annual religious gatherings. Ahead of the influx, routine maintenance and cleaning operations at the Holy Kaaba in Makkah are well underway to ensure the sacred sites are ready to welcome millions of pilgrims.
According to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), the pre-Hajj flight schedule from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport has been finalised. A total of 101 flights operated by four major airlines have been included in the schedule.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will operate the highest number of flights at 33, followed by Saudi Arabian Airlines with 29 flights, AirBlue with 24 flights, and AirSial with 15 flights.
The first Hajj flight from Lahore is scheduled to depart on April 18, when Saudi Arabian Airlines flight SV-5735 will carry pilgrims from Lahore to Madinah, marking the official start of this year’s Hajj air operations from the city.
