LAHORE: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem paid tribute to the martyrs of the Rajanpur Kacha Operation, stating that their sacrifices continue to serve as a guiding light for the police force and the nation.
Speaking at the Central Police Office in Lahore, the IG Punjab reiterated the department’s commitment to the welfare and well-being of police personnel and the families of martyrs. He emphasized that the Punjab Police stands firmly with its employees and will ensure timely resolution of their issues.
During the meeting, Abdul Kareem listened to the concerns of police employees and their families and issued immediate directives to relevant officers for relief. On the request of the widow of late Inspector Ghulam Ibn Ali regarding her son’s recruitment, instructions were issued to the Additional IG Punjab to review the case. Similarly, directions were given to the DIG Welfare and Finance on a request concerning the son of late Constable Mujahid Abbas.
The IG Punjab also issued orders on the transfer request of Head Constable Muhammad Irfan, promotion cases of eight senior traffic wardens, and recruitment under the martyr quota for the brother of Shaheed Constable Tanveer Abbas. Additionally, on an application regarding job reinstatement of former Sub-Inspector Waqar Ahmad, the RPO Gujranwala was directed to take necessary action.
Paying homage to the fallen heroes of the Rajanpur Kacha Operation, the IG Punjab said that those who laid down their lives in the line of duty are the pride of the nation
