Wrestling, Wushu and Weightlifting Events Held at Police Lines

Lahore: On the directions of Abdul Kareem, Inspector General of Police Punjab and President of the All Pakistan Police Sports Board, the annual Inter-District Police Sports Competitions are underway across the province.
As part of the ongoing events, wrestling, wushu, and weightlifting competitions were held at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh, where players from various police units participated with enthusiasm and delivered impressive performances.
According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, in wrestling competitions, Sports Wing Lahore secured first position, Anti-Riot Force claimed second place, while SPU finished third. In wushu, Police Lines Lahore took first position, followed by Dolphin Force in second place and Anti-Riot Force in third. In weightlifting, Sports Wing Lahore once again secured first position, Anti-Riot Force came second, and Elite Squad Lahore stood third.
Inspector General Abdul Kareem appreciated the performance of the players and congratulated those who secured top positions. Chief Sports Officer Athar Ismail Amjad stated that talented athletes would be identified through these inter-district tournaments to form strong police teams, with the potential to represent Pakistan at national and international levels.
Triple Murder in Taxila: IGP Seeks Report
Meanwhile, the IGP Punjab has taken notice of the murder of three افراد, including two women, over a domestic dispute within the jurisdiction of Police Station Taxila in Rawalpindi.
He has sought a report from the RPO Rawalpindi and directed the CPO Rawalpindi to ensure the immediate arrest of the accused using all available resources.
The Punjab Police spokesperson stated that senior officers and forensic teams have reached the crime scene and collected evidence. The CPO Rawalpindi confirmed that special teams have been formed to apprehend the suspects, expressing confidence that the accused will be arrested soon.
