Tehran (International Desk): Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization has announced the gradual reopening of airspace and airports following recent regional tensions and temporary restrictions. Airports in Tehran, including Mehrabad and Imam Khomeini International, along with those in six other major cities, have now been reopened.
Officials stated that all relevant airlines are completing preparations to resume both domestic and international flights. Scheduled operations will run from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time daily at operational airports. Airports in Isfahan and Tabriz will resume services once infrastructure repairs and safety checks are finalized.
A spokesperson for Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization said, “Tehran’s key airports and those in the northern, eastern, western, and southern regions are now fully operational and providing services to passengers.” The resumption follows inter-agency coordination and the easing of restrictions after a ceasefire framework.
Airlines and travelers are advised to verify flight schedules, as some limitations may persist. This development marks a significant step toward restoring Iran’s air connectivity and supporting economic recovery in the region.
