The United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs has firmly rejected claims that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secretly visited the UAE during the recent conflict with Iran.
Several media outlets had reported that Netanyahu arrived covertly in Abu Dhabi and held a meeting with the UAE President amid the Iran war. Israel’s Prime Minister’s Office had described the alleged visit as a “historic development” and a “significant milestone” in Israel-UAE relations.
However, the UAE Foreign Ministry, in an official statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), categorically denied the claims, clarifying that its relations with Israel under the Abraham Accords are entirely transparent and public, with no room for secret or undisclosed meetings. The statement confirmed that neither Netanyahu nor any Israeli military delegation visited the UAE during the conflict with Iran.
The Ministry also issued a warning to media outlets, urging them to verify information before publication and to refrain from spreading unconfirmed claims or using them to create political narratives.
