LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Minorities Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora paid homage at the Gurdwara Guru Nanak Foundation of America, where he addressed the Sangat and interacted with Sikh youth during a spiritually enriching gathering.
During his address, Arora highlighted the ongoing efforts being undertaken in Pakistan to preserve, protect and promote Sikh religious heritage, sacred sites and historic Gurdwaras, ensuring that future generations remain connected to their roots and spiritual history.
Referring to the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, he said the Punjab government is actively working on the restoration and preservation of 50 historic Gurdwaras across Punjab, reflecting its commitment to safeguarding Sikh religious heritage.
He also extended a warm invitation to the global Sikh community to visit Pakistan and reconnect with their ancestral and spiritual heritage, emphasizing Pakistan’s deep historical and religious significance for Sikhs around the world.
Highlighting the role of young people, Arora remarked, “Our youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are the guardians of our history and identity today.”
The event reflected a spirit of faith, unity, interfaith harmony and strengthened global Sikh connections.
