NEELUM VALLEY: President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Leader of the Opposition in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Shah Ghulam Qadir, has announced that historic development projects will soon be launched across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to accelerate socio-economic progress and improve public services.
Addressing a large public gathering in Lower Neelum Valley, attended by a massive number of local residents, Shah Ghulam Qadir received a warm welcome from the people, who acknowledged his previous public service initiatives and reaffirmed their support and confidence in his leadership.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that a comprehensive development agenda would be implemented across the region, including the construction of an extensive road network aimed at improving connectivity and facilitating economic activity. He also pledged to create government employment opportunities for educated unemployed youth.
Highlighting the importance of education, Shah Ghulam Qadir promised to bring about a transformation in the sector through the establishment of new schools, colleges, and universities. He further announced plans for the construction of modern hospitals and public service centers to improve healthcare and essential services for local communities.
Emphasizing the tourism potential of Kashmir, he stated that further development of the region would help attract visitors from Punjab, Sindh, and other parts of Pakistan, as well as international tourists. Increased tourism, he said, would contribute significantly to the region’s economy by generating revenue, creating employment opportunities, and promoting long-term prosperity.
Meanwhile, several prominent leaders and workers of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from Union Council Chalahana Reali, Constituency LA-26 Neelum-II, announced their decision to join the Pakistan Muslim League (N) along with their families and supporters, expressing confidence in the leadership of Shah Ghulam Qadir.
On the occasion, Shah Ghulam Qadir, accompanied by senior PML-N workers from Lower Neelum, warmly welcomed the new members into the party.
Representing the party leadership, including Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, and Maryam Nawaz, he presented garlands to the new entrants and congratulated them on joining the party.
