KHANEWAL: In line with the citizen-centric policies of the Punjab Government, a series of major reforms have been introduced in the revenue sector in Khanewal to ensure faster, more transparent, and efficient delivery of public services.
Speaking at a special media briefing, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue (ADCR) Fazal Abbas announced what he described as historic measures aimed at addressing long-standing land and revenue-related issues faced by citizens across the district.
Addressing journalists, Fazal Abbas said that old and pending revenue cases, including matters that had remained unresolved for years, are now being decided on a priority basis. He noted that the initiative would significantly reduce public hardship and eliminate the need for repeated visits to patwar offices.
He further stated that the process of land partition (Wandajat) has been simplified and fully digitized to enhance transparency and ensure that small landowners and farmers receive their rightful shares without unnecessary delays, procedural hurdles, or reliance on recommendations.
The ADCR added that Land Record Centers throughout the district have been made fully operational, with service delivery significantly improved. As a result, obtaining ownership records (Fard), processing mutation transfers, and completing land registration procedures have become faster and more efficient.
Reaffirming the Punjab Government’s commitment to public welfare, Fazal Abbas said the primary objective of these reforms is to provide essential services closer to citizens and ensure that every individual receives their legal rights through a transparent, merit-based, and accountable system.
The media briefing was attended by a large number of journalists, including District Press Club President Ahmad Raza Qadri, General Secretary Chaudhary Adnan Saeed, and Chairman Majlis-e-Amla Qulzam Bashir Ahmad.
