Police have arrested a two-member gang accused of robbing patients and their attendants at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital.
Acting on the directives of Islamabad Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi as part of an ongoing crackdown against criminal elements, the Karachi Company Police Station, under the supervision of SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, arrested the suspects, identified as Syed Sauban Ahmed Shah and Syed Saad Faizan Shah, sons of Syed Tariq Hussain Shah, residents of Sector G-6/1-4, Islamabad. The operation was carried out by the Station House Officer’s team, including ASI Arif Hussain and other personnel.
Police said stolen mobile phones and weapons used in the robberies were recovered from the suspects’ possession. Preliminary investigation revealed that the gang targeted patients and their attendants at PIMS Hospital, stealing mobile phones, wallets and other valuables.
An Islamabad Police spokesperson said operations against criminal elements would continue without discrimination to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property, and that offenders would be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
