LAHORE: Punjab Provincial Minister for Irrigation Kazem Ali Pirzada chaired a high-level Chief Engineers Conference to review the progress of ongoing development schemes and flood restoration projects across the province.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Irrigation Dr. Wasif Khurshid and Chief Engineers from all irrigation zones, who briefed the minister on the operational status and progress of projects in their respective regions.
Addressing the conference, Minister Kazem Ali Pirzada directed all departments to ensure that flood rehabilitation and development projects are completed within the stipulated timelines. He stressed that timely execution, high construction standards, and complete transparency must remain the top priorities in all public welfare initiatives.
The minister said that most flood restoration schemes have already been completed successfully, while work on the remaining projects is progressing on a fast-track basis to ensure their early completion and improve the province’s flood resilience.
