Lahore: The 28th session of the Pakistan Philosophical Association was held at the Gymkhana Club in Lahore, bringing together prominent scholars, academics, and intellectuals to discuss the role of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Islamic society.
The event featured Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah, Hilal-i-Imtiaz and Sitara-i-Imtiaz, former Federal Tax Ombudsman and Chairman of the Healthcare Society, as the chief guest, while former Federal Secretary Abdul Basit Khan presided over the session.
Welcoming the participants, Dr. Javed Iqbal Nadeem, President of the Pakistan Philosophical Association, introduced the distinguished guests and highlighted the significance of the session. Speakers shared their perspectives on the theme, emphasizing the contribution of NGOs to social welfare, community development, and humanitarian services within an Islamic framework.
During the ceremony, Professor Mahfouz Qutb presented a calligraphy artwork featuring the blessed name of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) along with selected verses of poetry as a token of appreciation to the distinguished guests.
