Field Marshal Has Earned Global Recognition for Pakistan and the Nation: Governor Punjab

Condemns Controversial Statement by PTI Founder’s Sister Regarding Marka-e-Haq and Pakistan Army

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has said that Pakistan’s flag is held in high esteem across the world because of the sacrifices and professionalism of the Pakistan Army, adding that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has earned global recognition and brought honour to both the country and the nation.
The Governor made these remarks while condemning what he described as a controversial and inappropriate statement made by the sister of the founder of PTI regarding Marka-e-Haq and the Pakistan Army.
Sardar Saleem Haider Khan alleged that the remarks were made in pursuit of cheap publicity and political gains, saying that undermining national institutions for personal or political interests is unacceptable.
He emphasized that the Pakistan Army’s sacrifices have elevated the country’s prestige internationally and said that attempts to malign the nation for publicity should be avoided.
The Punjab Governor urged political parties to pursue their political agendas responsibly while safeguarding the country’s dignity and international image. He said political leaders should refrain from making statements that could damage Pakistan’s reputation before the world.
Speaking on the political situation, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan expressed confidence that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would secure a clear majority in the upcoming Kashmir elections. He also stated that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would become the next Prime Minister of Pakistan.
