According to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Iranian forces struck US military bases and defense systems in Kuwait and Bahrain in response to American attacks. Iran’s Tasnim news agency reported the IRGC claimed to have destroyed early-warning radar, missile defense radar, an FPS-117 radar, a Patriot defense system, and satellite communication equipment at Kuwait’s Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base.
The IRGC said the goal was to eliminate regional radar coverage to clear the way for future missile and drone strikes. Iran’s military said kamikaze drones targeted administrative buildings and direction-finding antennas at Camp Arifjan, a helicopter parking area at Camp Ali Al Salem, and troop housing at Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base.
Kuwait’s military said its air defense systems intercepted the Iranian missiles and drones. Separately, the IRGC claimed strikes on US defense installations in Bahrain, saying radar and air defense systems were destroyed in Muharraq, and a Patriot system was targeted in Al-Rifa through a combined missile-and-drone assault.
Inside Iran, new US strikes reportedly triggered explosions across several cities — Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, Sirik, Shiraz, Chabahar, Konarak, and Isfahan — while air defense activity was reportedly heard near the Bushehr nuclear power plant. Iran’s military described its actions as an effort to restore regional peace and stability.
