US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is alive but severely wounded. Previously, he had repeatedly claimed that the new Iranian Supreme Leader had been killed in American strikes.
In an interview, Trump said he does not believe the new Iranian Supreme Leader has been killed, but even if he has, Iranian officials are putting on a very good act, since Iranians keep referring to consulting the Supreme Leader for final approval on every matter. Trump said he believes Iran’s Supreme Leader was very severely injured on the left side of his body.
It may be recalled that on February 28, Ali Khamenei was killed on the first day of US strikes on Iran, and Mojtaba Khamenei has not been seen in public since that incident.
Trump has once again claimed that US military and economic pressure against Iran is proving effective. According to Israeli media, in an interview with conservative radio host Glenn Beck, Trump said: “All of this is heading toward a very big success — we’re going to have a big success here very soon.” The US president also stressed that the Strait of Hormuz is now, in fact, fully open.
