LAHORE: A consultative meeting of Nafaz Urdu Pakistan, Lahore Division, was held at the National House, Mansoura, with Dr. Fazal Bano presiding over the meeting.
Muhammad Rafiq Bhatti, who hosted the meeting, welcomed all participants. The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by Hamd-o-Sana.
Syed Ijaz Bukhari, Ashfaq Ahmed Khan and Kashif Mughal attended the meeting as special guests.
Office-bearers and prominent members of the organization, including Muhammad Rafiq Bhatti, Syeda Nafi Sultan, Tahira Bano, Zubair Ahmed and Umm Hani, participated in the consultative session.
Muhammad Asim Buta, Naeem Ahmed Khan, Abdul Wahab, Shariq Ali Shariq, Talib Baig, Syed Zameer Naqvi, Naeem Aslam and Nabila Akbar were also among the participants.
The emergency consultative meeting focused on ways to mobilize and reactivate the Nafaz Urdu Movement across Pakistan. During the meeting, a proposal was discussed to assign responsibilities to office-bearers for strengthening and expanding the movement.
Participants expressed their commitment to continuing efforts for the activation of the movement and agreed that a comprehensive future action plan would be formulated to achieve its objectives.
The participants also reviewed arrangements for an oath-taking ceremony, through which responsibilities would formally be entrusted to the office-bearers.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to work collectively for the promotion and implementation of Urdu and to further strengthen the Nafaz Urdu Movement across the country.
