RAWALPINDI: Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that it is the responsibility of the Taliban regime to prevent terrorism launched from Afghan soil under Indian patronage.
Stating Pakistan’s position in categorical terms, the military spokesman said the state’s policy is “absolutely clear” and that there will be no negotiations with terrorists. He said action against terrorist elements would continue in line with that policy.
Pakistan has repeatedly urged Afghanistan’s Taliban-led administration to ensure its territory is not used for attacks against Pakistan. Taliban officials have consistently denied that Afghan soil is being used against other countries, while India has also rejected Pakistan’s allegations of backing militant groups.
