By Muhammad Shahzad Lahore Pakistan: Federal Minister for Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh attended the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) as part of the Pakistani delegation.
Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh was present in the General Assembly Hall alongside other members of the Pakistani delegation at the seats designated for Pakistan. The delegation included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Chairman of the Kashmir Committee Rana Qasim Noon, and other senior officials.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif addressed the General Assembly session and presented Pakistan’s position on global and regional peace, diplomacy, sustainable development, climate change, terrorism, global economic challenges and other key international issues.
The participation of Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh in the high-level General Assembly session formed an important part of his visit to New York, aimed at highlighting Pakistan’s economic and investment priorities at the international level.
