Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday held a meeting with Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, who briefed him on matters concerning the ministry and ongoing development projects.
The prime minister directed the Ministry of Railways to take effective measures to improve passenger facilities and ensure train safety, stressing that practical steps must be taken for the timely repair and maintenance of railway tracks. He emphasized that passenger safety must remain a priority.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also called for further efforts to make Pakistan Railways’ freight services more effective, observing that strengthening the freight sector was essential. The two sides also discussed other matters of mutual interest.
