LAHORE: The administration of Lahore General Hospital (LGH) has taken strict action against negligence, lack of interest and dereliction of duty in official matters. Four officials have been suspended with immediate effect, a show-cause notice has been issued to the Sanitary Inspector, and written explanations have been sought from three additional employees.
AMS (Emergency) Dr. Sinaan Mustafa has been replaced, while Dr. Ambreen Muqaddas has been directed to assume charge as AMS Emergency (Evening). MS LGH Prof. Dr. Faryad Hussain has issued a formal notification in this regard.
Prof. Dr. Faryad Hussain has directed all administrative doctors to make the monitoring of hospital affairs more effective and efficient to ensure the uninterrupted provision of medical facilities to patients. He made it clear that negligence and carelessness in the performance of duties would not be tolerated under any circumstances and that discipline would be maintained at all costs.
The Medical Superintendent further instructed the administrative focal-person doctors of all departments that, henceforth, sanitary staff reporting for duty without the prescribed uniform would be marked absent.
He also directed the concerned doctors to maintain strict monitoring of cleanliness arrangements and staff attendance to ensure a clean, hygienic and ideal environment for patients.
Prof. Dr. Faryad Hussain reiterated that there would be no compromise on cleanliness, discipline or security at Lahore General Hospital.
