London,(International Desk) — British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has dismissed the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to the United States, Peter Mandelson, after reports surfaced of his correspondence with disgraced American financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Mandelson, 71, faced growing pressure to step down following the release of emails showing exchanges with Epstein, who died in 2019 while facing sex trafficking charges.

Downing Street confirmed the dismissal on Thursday, marking the most high-profile diplomatic shake-up of Starmer’s premiership to date. The Foreign Office has not yet announced a replacement for the Washington posting
