Washington — The FBI has announced a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the killer of conservative commentator and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
The agency has also released photos of a suspected individual linked to the case, stating that the main perpetrator remains at large.
Just a day earlier, two suspects were taken into custody but were later released after questioning.
President Donald Trump, reacting to the incident, said: “Charlie Kirk’s killer will be caught soon.”
Kirk was shot while delivering a speech at the University of Utah, where he was addressing issues related to gun control and mass shootings.
Eyewitnesses told international media that he was fired upon at close range, leaving him critically wounded on the spot.
Charlie Kirk, known as a staunch conservative and pro-Israel figure, was regarded as a close ally of President Trump.
He founded Turning Point USA in 2012, an organization focused on promoting conservative values in educational institutions.
