Kashgar, China – Serene Air’s Owner and CEO, Yunchun Yang, met with President Asif Ali Zardari in Kashgar to discuss the airline’s expansion plans in Pakistan.
During the meeting, President Zardari urged Serene Air to increase the number of aircraft in its fleet in order to strengthen the airline’s network and enhance connectivity across the region.
Dr. Yang, who holds a Ph.D. from the University of California and also leads a listed semiconductor company with subsidiaries in Sweden and the United States, assured the President of his commitment to further invest in Serene Air’s operations in Pakistan.
Serene Air represents the first Chinese private investment in Pakistan’s aviation sector and is the first Pakistani private carrier to launch flights to Beijing. Dr. Yang also underlined the company’s ongoing collaborative projects with the Pakistan Air Force, particularly in the field of JF-17 avionics.
The meeting was attended by Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, and China’s Ambassador to Pakistan.
